First time hiking

This week went hiking with Anna for the first time. I guess it was not a reeaal hike in the mountains, but a start. We went into the Austin Greenbelt and had a little picnic. Anna had to keep her head up for probably 45min in each direction (she doesn't like facing toward the chest but want to see) and just started getting impatient towards the end.

Daddy bought her her first hat (H&M Chicago). It's still a bit large though...

Anna really had fun outside. She loves talking to the trees and makes funny noises. Where did she get this tree fascination from???

First time not the little girl anymore

Today I went to see the neighbor's new baby girl. Though Anna is constantly changing and learning that made me realize that Anna is not a tiny baby anymore. Anna still is a small baby (25 percentile) but she looked like a GIANT next to the 7-day old baby.

Sitting up

Anna likes to sit up - being held up. The Bumbo (foam seat with high back) allows her to participate and learn how she will be able to help out Mommy in the future!

By now Anna is quite the pro in using public transport to get around Munich!

New little friends

The German law introduced in 2007, saying that you will receive a certain percentage of your net salary for 12 months after your child is born, seemed to have paid off! I guess, jealousy is speaking here...

Anyway, Anna got to meet several little German friends. The first three kids are almost 14 months old.

First snow

As expected, the weather in Germany is very cold and it started snowing yesterday. A good time to take a walk!But Anna didn't mind as she was bundled up and cozy in her stroller.

First time on an airplane

On Monday Anna and I (Daddy needs to work) flew to Germany! Christina and Sophia were with us, which made it all a lot easier (in all honesty, this was the most convincing factor for me to take Anna to Germany at just 2 months old).

On the flight from Houston to Frankfurt the babies got bassinetts, which were hung on the bulk head wall. So Anna could travel super comfortably (and Mommy, too)!
