The other baby

Anna found out that there is another baby living in her swing! She loves staring at it in the mirror above...

First Playdate

Today Anna had her first playdate with Charles, my boss' son. Charles was born on December 6th (on my due date) in the same hospital and even was staying in the hospital room accross the hall from ours.

I guess they were not playing very actively yet... but at least they were awake at the same time!

So big!

Anna had another pediatrician appointment today and she weighed 8 lbs and 12 oz (3969 grams), which means she gained more than 1 pound in 2 weeks! The doctor was very pleased. She still is in the 25 percentile for weight, height and head circumference, but at least it's proportional.

First hair loss

Our cute hairy girl is losing her hair - at least on the head (she still has it on the shoulders and her ears...)

First smiles

Last week Anna started to smile! Especially when you are changing her diaper - no idea what's so funny about that...

First time at the Ranch

This weekend we took Anna to the ranch for the first time to see grandpa and the animals.

Fido wasn't too convinced by the stroller.

But he seemed to like her - or maybe he thought she was hiding some food.

Beautiful weather and spring-like temperatures.

Anna didn't really care for Shorty's grave (a pair of cowboy boots under a large pile of rocks - visitors are told that his name was Shorty and he's burried here)... she was screaming bloody murder.

First New Year's and first trip to Houston

For New Year's we drove to Houston to see Lee and Christina and their 16-month old daughter Sophia. Having a little one themselves they didn't mind our little Ms. Screamy. We had a very relaxed evening with Raclette and I even made it past midnight.
Anna did very well on both car rides - more than 3 hours each direction.
